Our New Friend

We were so excited to meet the newest member of room 40, Biraj!

We spent some our or morning getting to know him, and sharing some information about ourselves! 

We learned that he likes reading and writing, he loves all colors, and he loves spaghetti with onions and ketchup! 

We are so glad to have him in our classroom!

Maya recently took the time to write a letter to President Barack Obama to ask her if he thought One Direction could come to her birthday party. She was thrilled to receive a package in return from White House! Here's a look at some of the cool things she got:

Adeliya brought in 120 lids from various plastic bottles! These caps are going to be recycled and used to make benches for our school!
