This Week in Third Grade 11/11

Reading: We will begin focusing on nonfiction. This week we will specifically be looking at text features and how we use them to help us read.
Writing: We are finishing up our published pieces. We will have a publishing party on Thursday. Students will read their writing to one another and celebrate all of our hard work and effort.

Math: We are finishing up our money unit this week. We will have our test on Wednesday. We will begin our time unit on Friday

Science: We are going to continue to focus on the difference between vertebrates and invertebrates. Students presented their vertebrate projects this week. Be on the look out for the video soon!

Social Studies: The students did a fantastic job on their rights and responsibilities social studies tests! We are beginning our unit on government this week!

Other:
WE HAVE AN EARLY RELEASE DAY THIS WEDNESDAY! PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR STUDENT KNOWS HOW THEY WILL BE GETTING HOME!

It wouldn't be Saint Louis without funky weather. We are going to see dramatic temperature changes throughout the week. Please make sure that your student comes to school dressed for the appropriate weather. The weather change means cold and flu season is approaching
